Remake (2.0 version) here

These new files are exclusively for itch.io users that bought the first version of the game. This version is just a copy of the steam one.

If you already owns the steam version that's awesome and you don't need to play this one as it is practically the same (obviously you can play it anyways if you like).

This version won't conflict with any other previous version. It is not an update is another game.

Since originally this version was build with steam integration there is a couple of features that can only be access on steam.

The features that has to be removed it are:

* Achievements (Instead they are kept as it were completed before)

* User name in some papers and certificates

* Chester's badge can not be load for the rest of the game, it only will appear in campaign mode after complete his quiz and resets every time.

* Card mode is unlocked from the start, since this game mode was loaded from steam achievements.

Those features are only available on steam for windows and Linux users.

Why this version wasn't available on itch.io before?

Since I am just a simple guy without much experience in publishing video games I may misunderstood some stuff about the steam guidelines.

Now after a short break I was able to get better information about it and from there I was able to know what I need to change and do so I can share the game with you without breaking any rule.

Besides, I needed some time to change the code to remove the steam integration anyways and at least I can also delay the piracy of the game as well.

Then, if you are a windows or Linux user and you bought the game on steam and you feel like you wasted your money, don't worry, first you have access to all those features mentioned before, second from now you will be able to access all demos and/or betas version from my future projects, you will receive an email with the access to those projects when the time comes.

Thank you so much to all the people who truly understand my mistakes and support my work.

This is for anyone to answer!!! :D

Just wondering something. If someone leaves a document at home but they live alone. Is the solution to act like the document is fine? In nightmare mode I sent them away due to not having their document and no one to verify it was left at home. Then got the face grow in the back because I sent away the correct person. Will it ALWAYS be the correct person if they live at home and left a document or is it just a 50/50? Just find it scary to let them  in when  I can't verify so I assumed sending them away was the right thing to do but then the face grows or kills me for sending them away.

I think that when the person lives alone, if it doesn't answer the phone(obviously), there is a 100% chance that the person is a human, because it wouldn't make sense to be 50/50, especially in nightmare mode. But i dont know if thats true, i just think it.

OMG HII NEW MEMBER HERE?!? WELCOME!!! πŸŽ‰πŸŽ‰πŸŽ‰

so how do i get the files? is it under the download now?

No, you can access the files from the library.

Click on "download" and it takes you to the home page.

On that page at the top you should see a message from Itch that reads "You own this game" followed by a Download button and how much you purchased it for and how many days ago. Click that download button. That will take you to the page where all the version releases of the game are.

Scroll down to the bottom of the page to see the most updated files for Windows, MacOS, and Linux. Download and enjoy.

How do I download this version of the game for my Mac? I press download now and it just sends me to the home page where it says download unavailable. Then when I try to click the Mac file it's unclickable. Anyone know how to download this version?

Thank you for all that you have done. I bought this game here and I had no problem buying it again on steam. I appreciate this non-steam exclusive version of the steam release. I found it worth every penny since I enjoy the game so much.

You have made a lot of effort and it shows. Those that have spent their time being entitled and chronically online are the vocal minority who have forgotten common courtesy and think everyone on the internet must be made to hear their voice. What a sad life they lead. Thank you for releasing this version and for allowing me, and people like me, to support your creative endeavours. Keep on, my guy!

I'll still buy the steam version. People have been busting your balls way too much about this and I wanna lend my support. <3

Thank you for everything you've done, Nachosama, I really appreciate all of the hard work you put into making sure Itch.io players still get the remake version!

Now i wanted to ask about the last part of this announcement, does this mean that TNMN might still receive new updates in the future, or were you mainly referring to your another future projects for Steam players? I'm just curious since i really love this game and i definitely would love to see more of it if you still want to continue working on it. 😊

Ill probably still buy it on steam. Havnt played sine the first update and look foward to the progress youve made. I love to show support for indie devs so im happy to try and own both.

Thank you for all your hard work and especially the option to turn off flashing lights in settings. I wish more games had that option so I could actually play them. I was happy to support you twice because I think your work is worth well more than you charge for the games. I hope the negativity is outweighed by the support. It's a fantastic game!

So this new and last update is for this version of the game on this platform and there an other version of this game on steam that is different from this one but not compatible. Did I understand right? My English is not the best tbh but I have to say that I did buy the game to support you and the game that, in my opinion was not enough expensive for the work you put in it :) I’ll even buy the one on steam (if it’s not gonna broke my game here πŸ˜‚) to see the difference and again, to support your work :).

No, this is not an update, is another game (with this I mean that is not compatible with the data of the first version of the game), this version is almost the same to the one that is on steam, but without the steam integration that has to be removed so there is no issues with steam.

And thank you πŸ€—
