When I start the game I immediately get a black screen. The sound is heard and the cursor is visible. But there is no image. Please help me solve the problem:(
Fun game! I love the take on the Papers Please formula and think you have a strong base here.
I look forward to playing future iterations of the game.
Some off-the-cuff pieces of feedback:
- The daily list of people doesn't serve a purpose at the moment; if anybody isn't on the list, they say it was an emergency. It never influences any decisions, and I've had a few perfect runs without looking at it once.
- Pressing the red button and getting the cleaning crew is fun but tedious on the rotary phone repeatedly. I would have gotten the same satisfaction by pulling a lever or something similar that doesn't require much input on my end, especially since it's a standard action.
- I have similar feedback for the rotary phone. I think you could make it a retro-style phone with buttons and make it just as fun and immersive.
- It would be fun flavor if the cleaner person was from a pool of different characters.
- It would be nice QOL if text like "F02-01" was a link that brought me to that page.
- The siren and the red button look almost identical.
- I don't understand why I manually control the door. Is there ever an instance where I'd want to leave it open?
- A timer would add a nice incentive to make decisions on the fly. It would also be nice to get points or a bonus for processing people quickly. If I only had X seconds for each tenant, it would also add to the tension.
Can you add the other game modes too or make one that like continues with increasing difficulty. Also, the mac file has been very glitchy with the phone and with floor number 1 file.
I have a silly question: What is the today's list? How is it made? Are those the people who the doorman saw leaving earlier that day? So those not on the list (who are real people) sneaked out? I was just wondering about that.

We ended up looking up a walkthrough of the answers, but now we’re curious: could anyone elaborate on the cipher he uses? We know the answer to the riddle, we just want to know how we might go about deciphering it ourselves.

It's Caesar Cipher, and "hide" is a hint to how far we need to shift the letters through the alphabet (h - 8th letter of the English alphabet, i - 9, d - 4, e - 5)

Using any decoding tool (or being masochists and doing so ourselves) we decode the set of what looks like a random set of characters from the riddle 4 times, each time with a different shift parameter - 8, 9, 4 and 5 accordingly.
After all the fun, we receive 4 sets of characters:

If you take all the first letters from the first row, second from second, third from third and fourth from fourth and read them up-to-down you'll get this:
If you are on window you can try in file explorer click on address bar and type cmd, press enter, black console window gonna appear and in it you type(with quotes):
"That's not my neighbor.exe" --rendering-driver opengl3
That worked for me.
Alternatively if you are afride of cmd, you can open notepad app, copy command in it ("That's not my neighbor.exe" --rendering-driver opengl3), save it as run.bat, make sure file name ends with .bat and nothing else. Put your newly created file in same folder as game and just run that.

I cannot open a game after downloadin. It says that Mac cannot check it on viruses so it should be updated. Please help me with it

please fix the phone glitch for mac. It only works sometimes it won’t even grab on to a number

Will Dopplegangers have an error in there entry requests where they say the room that they live in instead of where they have been in the Reason?
