My partner and I are playing through and are encountering the man with the bandana who quizzes you. We ended up looking up a walkthrough of the answers, but now we’re curious: could anyone elaborate on the cipher he uses? We know the answer to the riddle, we just want to know how we might go about deciphering it ourselves.

It's Caesar Cipher, and "hide" is a hint to how far we need to shift the letters through the alphabet (h - 8th letter of the English alphabet, i - 9, d - 4, e - 5)

Using any decoding tool (or being masochists and doing so ourselves) we decode the set of what looks like a random set of characters from the riddle 4 times, each time with a different shift parameter - 8, 9, 4 and 5 accordingly.
After all the fun, we receive 4 sets of characters:
WIWQ ITPE ETAS EOPE PMWK EUEK TIAP OMWO SZOQ EN
VHVP HSOD DSZR DNOD OLVJ DTDJ SHZO NLVN RYNP DM
AMAU MXTI IXEW ISTI TQAO IYIO XMET SQAS WDSU IR

If you take all the first letters from the first row, second from second, third from third and fourth from fourth and read them up-to-down you'll get this:
If you are on window you can try in file explorer click on address bar and type cmd, press enter, black console window gonna appear and in it you type(with quotes):
"That's not my neighbor.exe" --rendering-driver opengl3
That worked for me.
Alternatively if you are afride of cmd, you can open notepad app, copy command in it ("That's not my neighbor.exe" --rendering-driver opengl3), save it as run.bat, make sure file name ends with .bat and nothing else. Put your newly created file in same folder as game and just run that.

I know you've told us how to fix it if the phone does not work, however every single time I try to call 3312 for a doppelganger it does not work even after trying to fix it the way it's been stated, what can I do because I'd really like to fully play this game.
Check if you need to update your drivers, this bug seems to be something related to the pc itself because itsn't happen to everybody, it's just happening to a few of you.

hi, just came across a bug that wouldn't let me open a folder/click on certain apartments. Specifically it just started out as me not being able to click on floor 2 apartment 4, and then after I was unable to open the second floor folder at all
oh okay thank you sorry I thought it was compatible. I don’t think I want a refund yet I’ll just wait til I can get a PC to play it, it looks like a really fun game!
It's pretty random and it doesn't happen every game and not happen to everybody but if the phone stop working in the middle of the level to fix it just take the game out of full screen click the phone and dial one number and it's all good. Sometimes after it is fix it'll stop working again but just do the same thing to fix it.
Any chance you would be willing to remove the F*** word that shows up randomly. My kids would love this game and thats really the only thing thats not kid friendly. Is an awesome game though good work!
better idea, remove it for the base game but the vulgar can be a option for the game, like the base game is sfw but the option turns it from sfw to nsfw
I thought about it but it would be too easy for the kids to just click the option, I don't mind to removing the word, it is just that word and doesn't change the game at all, so it is ok.

I think it's well suited for alot of ages which is what makes it great, also teaches kids some skills like paying attention to details and problem solving. Keep up the good work!

For Mac you need to bypass the warning message and opening anyway through security settings.
Go to System Preferences -> Secutiry & Privacy -> "Open Anway" -> (Type in password)
Or you can right click the application and click run. That way when it says it can't be scanned there will be an open anyway button.

My phone has stopped working. I have quit the game and reopened it three times and the phone stops working mid way through.
