If your pc gives you a warning and the only option you have is "don't run", press "more info" so it can give you access to "run anyway" and to be able to play the game.
If you already have the game, make an account in itch.io then verify your email so you can access your library. you probably bought the game without an account but as long as you use the same pc in which you have the game in, your itch account will notice it and you will be able to download the latest updates.
You could try uninstalling the game first if you haven't already, but I have a suspicion that everybody who can't get the update even when reinstalling are all on mac. Then that's just a problem the developer has to fix.
That seems to be one of the only logical answers at this point.
If you haven't tried already, you could refer back to your email for the email you get for purchasing the game and continue from the download page provided there, or download the itch app and download from there, although I have a feeling you've already tried all of that. I'm sure the developer will fix the problem soon.

Had a glitch with Mclooy Rudboys. He said he had an emergency at work, but he's supposed to be retired, and his entry request said he was shopping anyway. Not to mention he wasn't on the list either. So I killed him, but he was not a doppleganger. This has to be some sort of glitch, right?

Did you use the right demo to see if your computer could handle it? If so, check to be sure you downloaded the right exe launch file. When did you last restart your computer? Sometimes that helps clear up my launch or sync issues.
I don't know why but nightmare mode is either glitching or I just don't know but 3 of the doppelgangers and 2 od the DDD agents have layered on top of each other and wont disappear??

I love this game! Honestly, I should've payed attention to the "Not for kids" part but I'm stupid so yeah- I love, love, LOVE Nightmare Mode! This game has just the right amount of horror, and the art is awesome.

THE NEW MODE IS AWESOME. (mild spoilers ahead) It really is a good challenge, I only was able to defeat it once after several tries. The clown is soooo creepy! I love how is adds more depth to the lore too.
I usually don't post reviews but I do want to leave my 2 cents. I adore this game, it's become a big comfort game for me and a great distraction when i'm not feeling well and need to do something to get my mind off of things. It was absolutely worth the money I paid, and I look forward to future updates. I love the art style as well. I love everything about this game.
Not the creator's fault you did not read the requirements. There was a demo you could have downloaded to see if it works on your device and acted accordingly from then on. The creator clearly points it out, as they themself are aware that some devices do not run it properly.

You only need to redownload the game, as long as you know how to do that the update should be there.

Did you use the right demo to see if your computer could handle it? If so, check to be sure you downloaded the right exe launch file.
When did you last restart your computer? Sometimes that helps clear up my launch or sync issues.

I got the "Unlikely " Win, within 3 playthroughs. Use the big die to tip the odds, statistically you'll get a bonus card more often than not.

If you are on Mac try to play in other resolution, it seems that for some reason the game doesn't get the fullscreen and the cursor get outside.
