You went in with the knowledge on how to best navigate the situation and followed that advice, fate did not agree, you cannot place blame on yourself or others for things out of anyone's control. Simply take solace in knowing you did all you could.

I rolled the red die 56 times.
the probability of getting +Card = 0.642857143 (36 times)
the probability of getting -Card = 0.160714286 (9 times)
the probability of getting -1 points = 0.196428571 (11 times)
The longest streak of +Cards was 8 in a row. I recommend rolling the red die every turn. Also, I got 3 hit once after 50 attempts
